Most often, the kinds of players hitting free agency are those who are entering the final few years of their prime or are already well past it, meaning teams are often forced to overpay for players who will likely be cut before the end of their contracts. With that in mind, we decided to take a look at the 10 best free agents who are 25 years old or younger. But first, a few notes about the rankings: Positional value matters. Unrestricted free agents (UFA) were given a bonus over restricted free agents (RFA) for obvious reasons. Were trying to pick players who are more likely to actually be available to sign in free agency. A ton of players 25 years old or younger who are scheduled to become free agents are actually exclusive restricted free agents (ERFA), which makes their departure unlikely.A ton of notable players mi sed the cut. These are all players who should contribute for whichever teams they find themselves on in 2020, but werent able to crack the top 10 for a variety of reasons. Im not quite ready to give up on him yet. I think he could be a great buy-low signing with clear upside. 9. DL (UFA) Williams hasnt lived up to the expectations that came attached to being drafted sixth overall by the in 2015, but hes still a useful player who has, at times, demonstrated the ability to be a dominant force up front. Im talking about the 2016 season, of course, when Williams racked up a career-high seven sacks and two forced fumbles for an approximate value of 10 (hes yet to reach double digits since). But Williams is only 25. Hell be 26 when next season begins. A suming he doesnt cost $15 million per year, , he could be a great buy-low option for someone out there. But if he does cost $15 million per season, someone might be overpaying for his services. Given during a lost season, it feels like theyll probably be the team that pays him. 8.TE(UFA)Long gone are the days when Hooper was an underrated Fantasy tight end. Hes gone mainstream.Over the past three years, Hooper is averaging 65 catches, 657.7 yards, and 4.3 touchdowns per season. Hes been one of the most consistent pa s-catching tight ends in all of football, and hes been rewarded with consecutive trips to the Pro Bowl. Nobody should mistake him for a Gronk Jose Trevino Jersey -esque star, but hes capable of consistently chipping in on a good offense as a secondary weapon.7. RB (RFA) Ekeler gets dinged because hes a restricted free agent, making it more likely hell return to Los Angeles, and he plays a position that doesnt hold much value in todays NFL. But theres no doubting just how good a running back Ekeler is, and it makes all the sense in the world for the Chargers to let walk in free agency and make Ekeler their RB1. As far as running backs go, hes perfectly suited for the modern NFL. Hes not just a runner, hes also adept at catching the ball. He totaled 1,550 yards and 11 touchdowns from scrimmage this past season. Really, the Chargers never shouldve let Gordon steal so many of his touches once he returned from his unsucce sful holdout. With Gordon likely departing in free agency, the stage is finally set for Ekeler to become the Chargers full-time RB1. 6. EDGE (UFA) Nobody benefited more from a prove-it contract than Fowler, who signed a one-year deal worth $12 million with the Rams last year. He proceeded to explode for 11.5 sacks. His pervious single-season high? Eight, back in 2017. According to ESPN, at his position group. Fowler is now poised to cash in big in free agency. Itll be interesting to see if the Rams pay up for his services. Theyve still got to get a deal done, theyre still stuck with and s mega deals that already look like bad investments, andIn a perfect world, the Rams would find a way to bring him back, but the Rams arent living in a perfect world anymore. 5. RT (UFA) The best right tackle available in free agency, Conklin should be wanted by the Titans considering his strength is run-blocking and the team will presumably bring back impending free agent and lean on their ground game again in 2020. But if they have to pay both Henry and , the Titans might not want to hand a right tackle a ma sive contract. If he is allowed to hit free agency, he should have plenty of suitors. Its not every year offensive tackles of his caliber are available on the open market. 4. Chargers TE (UFA) Henry is, quite clearly, the best tight end in free agency. After his 2018 season was Jose Leclerc Jersey ruined by a torn ACL, Henry rebounded in 2019 with 55 catches, 652 yards, and five touchdowns in a 12-game season. Hes more than just a pa s-catcher, though. Hes also a reliable run-blocker. If he can stay healthy (a huge if so far in his career), he has the potential to reach the upper echelon of NFL tight ends. Every team without an elite tight end (so most teams, really) should be in on him come free agency. And heres where we note the still havent replaced Rob Gronkowski. 3. DE (UFA) Like Amari Cooper, its unlikely Ngakoue makes it to free agency. More likely is that the Jaguars will franchise tag him. They cant really afford to let him walk. Throughout his four-year career, hes been durable, playing in 63 of 64 po sible games. Hes been consistent, averaging 9.4 sacks per season and never finishing with fewer than eight sacks in a single season. Impre sively, hes also racked up 14 forced fumbles acro s four seasons --. Hes one of the best edge defenders scheduled to hit free agency. And hes only 24 years old. 2. Cowboys WR(UFA) Im going to go ahead and a sume the Cowboys will extend Cooper, but Cooper is technically slated to become an unrestricted free agent next month. Considering at the 2018 trade deadline and then watched him immediately transform their offense the rest of the season before posting a 79-catch, 1,189-yard, and eight-touchdown stat line in 2019, itd be shocking if they didnt find a way to bring him back on a multi-year deal. Hes 25 years old, a clear WR1, and a huge part of their offense. If he were to find a way to make it to free agency, hed be the most coveted receiver on the open market. 1. Chiefs DL (UFA) There was a lot of talk that shouldve won Super Bowl MVP over . But theres also an argument to be made that Jones deserved some MVP love too. Over the course of his Luke Farrell Jersey career (not just in the Super Bowl), hes been awesome against the run and a terrorizing pa s rusher with 24.5 sacks over the past two seasons. For a team in the middle of their Super Bowl window -- they have a legitimate chance to start a Patriots-esque dynasty -- bringing back one of the leagues best defensive linemen is a must. But if he does hit free agency, expect a bidding war.

The free-agent market does not open for a few weeks, but that doesnt mean NFL teams arent in position to add significant talent at the moment. Any team looking to get a jump on the cornerback market should give a call to the , who appear to be unable to reach an extension agreement with Pro Bowl cornerback . The Lions are open to trading Slay, and have reportedly already about the prospect of doing so.Our own Tyler Sullivan earlier this week:Detroit has spoken to multiple teams acro s the league about a potential trade for the Pro Bowl cornerback. The belief among other clubs, according to Schefter, is that Slay will be traded this offseason. That said, the Lions are adamant on value....The 29-year-old is currently about to enter the final year of the four-year, $48.15 million extension he signed with the Lions back in 2016 and is slated to become an unrestricted free agent in 2021....As things stand now, Brian Gibbons Kids Jersey Slay has an average annual salary of $12 million -- just the 14th-most in the NFL at his position. Slay comes with an approximately $13.4 million cap hit for 2020, but that could be re-worked with a new extension. If the Lions do, in fact, trade Slay, theyd still be on the hook for his $2.9 million dead cap hit.With all that in mind, we figure its time to detail some of the best potential fits for Slays services. These have to be teams with significant enough cap room to give Slay the extension he wants (and deserves), of course, but they also have to have either enough draft capital to execute a trade or a willingne s to throw draft picks around despite not having a ton of them on hand.We know the Texans have absolutely no compunction about trading draft picks. They traded a third-round pick for last year and then gave twice as many touches as Duke despite the latter being a significantly more effective player. Acquiring and paying him now before they have to hand an extension that will presumably make him among the highest-paid quarterbacks in the NFL also makes sense, and again, we have to stre s that Bill OBrien will give up whatever draft picks a trade partner wants if he decides he wants to get a specific player. This almost makes too much sense.This is a team that should be interested in literally every single cornerback that hits the market. Philadelphias secondary was an outright disaster for much of the past two seasons, and Slay would instantly upgrade everything they have on the outside. If they can get it done for and a Day 2 or 3 pick, plus whatever Slay wants in an extension, that would have to be considered a major win. (And if they then went out and stole from the division rival in free agency, itd be an even bigger one.) The Eagles arent as high on cap room as some other teams on this list, but they have plenty of ways to create more of it and an enormous need at the position.The Raiders are Erik Haula Men Jersey nearly as willing to make trades as are the Texans. Jon Gruden and Mike Mayock laid out a significant amount of money and draft capital to remake their defense last offseason ... and still managed to finish 31st in the NFL in defensive DVOA at Football Outsiders. Their dreadful pa s defense finished 30th, and they really just do not have a single high-level cornerback on the team. The Raiders managed to find some nice talent up front (particularly with fourth-round steal ) but filling out the back end has to be a priority. Slay could be a big help.The last time the Jets laid out big money for a cornerback, it didnt work out so well. They cant even really get significant enough cap savings for cutting ties with to make it worth it until next year, either, so it seems likely that hell stick around for at least one more season. But New York still badly needs help on the perimeter, and Slay would represent a ma sive upgrade over the players currently manning the corner spots for the Jets. He could also do well in Gregg Williams pre sure-and-man-coverage-heavy defense, which makes for a nice fit with his skill set.The Bucs have more cap space than all but two other teams in the NFL, and after seeing their run defense take a ma sive step forward last season, its time to make sure the pa s defense does the same. Todd Bowles is the kind of coach who can figure out the best ways to use Slay in his coverage schemes, and his presence Ryan Suzuki Kids Jersey would ease the pre sure on young contributors like and . Even with the Bucs likely to shell out big money for a quarterback -- whether or a replacement like -- they should have plenty left over to go after Slay as well.Speaking of teams with plenty of cap room and needs in the secondary ... your Miami Dolphins! Slay is going to play next season at 29 years old so it may not make sense for the Fins to give up much in the way of draft capital to secure his services, but if they were able to pair him with on the outside, that would give them a pretty big leg up on establishing a solid floor on defense. The Dolphins are a ways away from being anything resembling a contender, but Trevor Van Riemsdyk Jersey they have the money and draft capital to make aggre sive moves like this and jumpstart the proce s just a little bit without depleting the a set trove.Slay isnt a perfect fit for Seattles defense, but he has decent size at 6-0, 190 pounds and the Seahawks just traded for another member of the Detroit secondary who was a good, but not great fit for their system () and it worked out pretty well for them. If they can get Slay to play acro s from Shaquil Griffin and in front of Diggs and , suddenly a unit that has been backsliding for the past few years would again vault itself back toward the top of the league. Seattle has plenty of cap room available this offseason and we have seen theyre willing to trade draft picks for the right kinds of veterans. Slay fits the bill.When the Broncos saw they were going to lose last offseason, they acquired and . With seemingly likely to move on in free agency, the Broncos could do a whole lot worse than looking at Slay as a potential replacement. They have bigger needs on the other side of the ball but Vic Fangio puts a high value on having a strong trio of cornerbacks to make his defensive system work, and that becomes a bit more difficult without Harris in the fold. If the Broncos can get Slay at an affordable rate, he would make a lot of sense for them.Sure, the Bills already have a good defense. And they already have a shutdown cornerback in . But one shutdown cornerback isnt cool. You know whats cool? Two shutdown cornerbacks. had a solid season acro s from White, but hes not on Slays level. If the Bills can pair those two guys together, the talent upgrade may help them stave off the regre sion that typically comes for defenses that take as big a step forward as Buffalos did in 2019. With upwards of $80 million in available cap room at the moment, the Bills have plenty of space to make Sebastian Aho Men Jersey this happen and still have enough left over for other needed upgrades to the roster.Arizona never ended up trading and did take in the second round of the draft last year, but this is still a team in need of dramatic defensive upgrades. Like most other teams on this list the Cards have plenty of room on their cap to fit an extension for Slay, as well as a need for more talent in the secondary. They may not want to give up draft picks for a player who will turn 30 toward the tail end of next season, but its difficult to think of a more surefire upgrade for them at a position of need.

Chark?This could end up being a great under-the-radar move for the team.5. Derius DavisThe Chargers liked TCU receivers in the 2023 draft, drafting Johnston and then selecting Derius Davis Ray Nitschke Jersey in the fourth round. Davis caught just 15 pa ses for 66 yards.Like Johnston, much more will be expected from him in year two.6. Simi FehokoSimi Fehoko has some NFL playing experience but he is just a placeholder for all of the young talent behind him on this list.7. Brenden RiceBrenden Rice gets the next slot on this list for name value and nothing else. Hes Jerry Rices son, so that counts for something. It was intolerable for a club like Juventus, a revolution is needed, starting from overhauling the management. Andrea Agnelli was appointed as the clubs president and Secco was replaced by Giuseppe Marotta, the former Sampdoria Sporting Director that managed to build a Bobby Massie Jersey mid-table team to finish in the top-4 and qualified for the Champions League.
